Abhi as I have mentioned in many posts, like to travel all over India. He has been wanderer and explorer. Melukote has been one of the place he never tried in his journey. So he asked me to accompany me. Our mode of transport was his bike. We needed to cover 137 km from Bangalore.
 If you ask me where did you started your journey of travel ? I might go back to mind tree days. Even I might go back to the days when I used to read all those stupid journals on travel. But the journey on my own way started with Mysore. Mysore is one among the two must visit place in Karnataka. The other being jog falls.It took me five long years to see this beautiful historical and cultural city.

Nanjanagudu is one of the marvellous architecture you find in Karnataka.
Popularly known as the Dakshina Kashi dates back to the Ganga rulers of 9th century. Built in Dravidian style it has undergone several changes.

 Shivana Samudra is one of the beautiful falls you come across Mysore.

It was one fine day, I decided to take my sister and brother-in-law to Shivana samudra. We had a plan to visit some other places but due to time constraints we could only visit twin falls of Shivana samudra.
We have been to Ramadevara betta of Sholay fame.

 Remember the dialogue "Kitne admi they " from Sholay. Amzad Khan's that dialogue might be still in my ears but it created much more noise when we visited this beautiful place. I still remember the date.It was a day after my birthday ,6th June 2009 .I don't have many pics and most of the pics are taken from mobile which is of poor quality.But I really wanted to narrate the experience we had.
Hasan has the architectural master piece. Hoysala kings have ruled this region and their contribution to the art and literature is huge.  
 Belur is proposed as UNESCO heritage centre along with Halebedu and Shravanabelagola in this region. Even today we remember Hoysalas for their love for art , literature. We have a responsibility to save this heritage centre for the future.
